Domaine du château de la Mothaye
Experience a real Loire castle adapted to the present time. Cosy accommodation, a lovely large swimming pool, many terraces around the château and gites, an old chapel, and a small playground for the kids.
All located in the middle of the large castle park and with Dutch owners (we speak English, Dutch and French).
There are several modernised accommodations on the château grounds of 35ha: 2 gites (holiday homes) and 4 château appartments. All self-catering!

The Loire Valley in France - world heritage
Château la Mothaye is located in the middle of the famous Loire Valley. Centrally located between historic cities such as Angers and Saumur. From here, visit the picturesque villages, the famous Loire castles, or discover delicious wines in a small wine cave.
Two extraordinary zoos at 25 minutes, Terra Botanica in Angers, the largest Royal abbey in Europe, or take a boat trip on the Loire. So much to do and discover from your own accommodation at Chateau de la Mothaye.
our accommodations: gites, holiday homes, and castle apartments...
- On the domain we offer two gites (holiday homes) in the old caretaker’s house, about 70 meters from the chateau.
- In the chateau itself we offer three castle apartments and a studio.
All holiday homes and castle apartments have one or more bedrooms, a sitting area, and a private bathroom.
All accommodations are self-catering and have a fully equipped kitchen. Around the chateau and the gites are many terraces with lounge sofas and dining/picnic tables.
